Ronald Gilbert Matz, age 78 of Seffner, FL passed away Oct. 7, 2021 at James A. Haley VA Hospital.

He was born Oct. 27, 1942 to Gilbert and June Matz. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He also was a member of the Coast Guard Aux. FL 74 for 27 yrs.  and a 45 yr. member of the American Legion Post 136 in Lodi, NJ.

He is survived by his wife Patricia of 51 years and 5 children:  Kristina Burney (Eric); Kori Bertino (Richard); Kevin Matz; Angela Schultz (Steve); Mark Matz (Eileen); 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, sister Christy Burmeister; brother Greg Matz and several sister-in-laws; brother-in-laws and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers (Alan and Dennis Matz).
