Ronald "Ron" LeBlanc, 74, beloved husband, Dad, and Papou, passed away on May 22, 2024.

Ron was born on June 6, 1949 in Bridgeport, CT to Albert and Helen LeBlanc. He lived in Connecticut until he enlisted in the Army and served in the Vietnam War as a soil analyst. Following an honorable discharge, he graduated from Southern Connecticut College and was the only Physics major who also completed every single Physics course offered by the school. Between classes, he utilized the time to rest, and one day in 1971, he woke up to find his future wife sitting in the chair next to the sofa. From that point on, Ron and Kathy embarked on their life together. Ron began his career as a design engineer, and they married in 1976.

The couple was blessed with two daughters and many cats, and they relocated to Florida, where Ron became a Physics teacher until his retirement.

Ron was a remarkable man. He gardened, cooked, baked bread and pizza, worked on cars, and enjoyed electrical and plumbing projects. He loved mechanics and taking things apart to rebuild and improve them. In retirement, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of building an airplane. He also volunteered with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA).

As a devoted Papou, his grandchildren will remember his participation and engagement at their events and daily activities.
He is survived by his wife Kathy LeBlanc; daughters Joanne LeBlanc and Elaine Geremia; and grandchildren Tyson, Aubrey, Tanner, and Gino.

A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11a.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview, FL. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ron's life.
