Ronald "Ron" D. Hanke 71 of Brandon, Florida passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, he was an Architect at the University of South Florida for 32 years. He was a avid collector and builder of model cars and volunteered with Cat Call, Inc. He is survived by his wife JoAnn Hanke of 42 years; daughter Lindsay(Jamie) Smith; sisters Joyce Hanke, Kathy Combs, Jennifer Pittenoff, and Judy McGlone; brother Mark Hanke, and one granddaughter Ava Claire Smith. He is predeceased by his parents Vernon and Carolyn Hanke, and a brother Tim Hanke. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation in Ron's memory. Services entrusted to Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.
