Beatty, Roland V., Jr, 69, of Riverview, FL, formerly of So. Boston, MA, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Roland V. and Dorothy (Sciarappa) Beatty. He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" (Kennedy) Beatty, his children, Heather Kemp and her husband Dustin of FL, Lynnette David and her husband Troy of LA, Scott Beatty and his wife Jennifer of LA, Roland V Beatty III, Michelle Jankewicz, and Alan Jankewicz of FL. Proud grandfather of 12 and dear brother of Edith Beatty-Kilgore of VT. Roland is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Roland was a proud 32 year veteran of the United States Coast Guard "Semper Paratus". A visitation will the held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 9:30 am.
