Robert Louis Scott, 73, of Lithia, Florida, passed away on June 20, 2025.

Born in Tampa and raised in Riverview, Florida, Robert carried with him the strong roots of his community and a deep sense of pride in where he came from. He served his country with honor as a veteran of the Vietnam War, proudly wearing the uniform of the United States Army. After his military service, he spent many years working in construction, building roads and lasting friendships along the way.

Robert wore many titles over his lifetime—Soldier, Daddy, Pop, Brother, Son, Friend, Uncle, and Husband. Though one man, he was something different to each of us, touching our lives in deeply personal ways. Whether you knew him as family, friend, or neighbor, one constant remained: his love.

He was the most complicated, simple man you'd ever meet. A passionate gardener, a self-proclaimed "fire starter," and a devoted "piddler" who left behind many unfinished projects, Robert had a spirit that was both restless and deeply rooted. He found joy in the little things—tinkering in the yard, sharing stories, and diving into his favorite pastime: tracing his family's genealogy with remarkable passion and care.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jesse and Nellie; his sisters Helen, Nancy, and Joyce; and his grandsons Brenden and Jacob.

Robert leaves behind his beloved wife Gail together 38 years; daughters, Jennifer (Royce) and Melissa (Allen); grandchildren, Justin, Sebastian (Ashley), Kristin (Terry), Alex, Hannah, Alyssa (Jake), and Ellah; and great-grandchildren, Elijah, Eliana, Tucker, and Cade. He is also survived by his brother, Daniel; sister, Patricia (Michael); and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

His legacy is one of love, curiosity, grit, and fierce devotion to those he held dear. Though he may be gone from our sight, the mark he left on our hearts and lives will never fade.
