Pratt, Robert Lee, 94, of Brandon, Florida, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital.

Robert was born to Harry H. and Ella Olga Von Hertzberg, who preceded him in death. A lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area, Robert was a Tampa police officer for 2 ½ years before he was drafted into the Army. A Korean War veteran, he served overseas for two years, honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1955. Upon returning home, Robert finished his education at the University of Tampa, then taught elementary school for 32 years in Hillsborough County before retiring.

Robert is survived by his wife, Ida Eugenia (Grigsby) Pratt; three children Pamela (David) Mankowski; Todd (Meredith) Pratt; Robyn Ashley (Don) Stahl; four grandchildren, Grace McHugh Pratt, Aidan Joshua Pratt, Heather Mankowski (Luis) Rivero and Brian David (Patrice) Mankowski; sister-in-law Martha Ann (Bruce) Hieronymus, and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2022, at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview. The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. the same day at Florida National Veterans Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends consider a donation to a charity of their choice in Robert's memory.
