McIlwain, Robert B., Sr., 71, of Riverview, passed away on December 4, 2014. A native of Miami, FL, Bob grew up in Tampa, FL. Bob was a veteran of the US Air Force at Mac Dill Air Force Base and was a proud and active member of N.A. for the past 28 years and attended Hyde Park United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen McIlwain and his mother, Cordelia McIlwain. Bob is survived by his loving family, son, Robert McIlwain, Jr.; daughter, Jennifer McIlwain Petit; brothers, Harris (Linda) McIlwain, DDS and James (Patricia) McIlwain, DDS; and four grandchildren. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Sun City Center Senior Living, South Bay Hospital, Complex Care at Bradenton and the LifePath Hospice House in Sun City Center as well as the countless community partners that became an extended part of their family as he transitioned to be with the Lord.
