Robert W. Lyons of Valrico, FL, passed away on June 20 th , 2018 at the age of 80 at Hospice House in Sun City, FL after battling Alzheimer's.   Born and raised in Roxbury, MA he was the son of the late Dorothy and Walter Lyons. He is survived by his wife Christina Jessen, and his children Tina McKenney her husband Scott their daughter Erin, Steven Lyons and Alexandra Buchalski.  Robert was predeceased by his brother Walter Lyons, Jr. and sister Barbara Boch.

Bob was in the Merchant Marines for four years traveling throughout the United States and Europe.  He then worked as a district manager for the Boch Automotive for several years. His forte was buying and selling heavy equipment.  He became an independent broker for Arrow Truck Sales in Kansas City, Missouri then moving to Charlotte, North Carolina working with Nalley Trucking Co. and eventually to Suncoast Truck & Equipment in Tampa Fl.  Bob was well known and respected throughout the industry with his tenacious attitude and knowledge of the business which he loved, retiring at age 75. Bob worked hard, played hard and those who met him will not forget him.

Funeral service will be private.
