Key, Robert Alan, 61, of Valrico, FL, went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2011, after a long battle with heart disease and diabetes. He is survived by his wife, Cathy; his son, Michael Key, his son Robert A. Key, Jr., and his wife April, and their children, Courtney Key, Lexie Key, Mandi Key and Kaylee Key. He is also survived by his brother Greg Key. Robert was a retired deputy for 25 years with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office. He was also a Mason with the Brandon Masonic Lodge. He was a funny, caring and loving man who will be dearly missed, but we take comfort knowing that he is in the loving arms of our Maker and is no longer suffering. Out of respect for Robert's wishes the family will not hold a service.
