Johns, Robert, 68 of Ruskin passed away peacefully on December 1, 2012 after an extended illness. Born November 20, 1944 in North Ft. Myers, Florida to the late Rudolph and Evelyn Johns, he was a fourth generation Floridian from a large family spanning the State of Florida. Mr. Johns was employed by Florida Rock and Tank Lines; Apac Corporation; and Stepp's Transportation as a Transportation Coordinator. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Gail Hamilton Johns, two loving stepsons; Richard and Ronald Chicotka, grandson, Mason, and his brother Donald Johns, of California. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Lindbergh Johns and Richard Johns. A Memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Serenity Meadows Funeral Home at 6919 Providence Road, Riverview. The family will receive guests from 10:30 until the start of the service.
