Robert "Bob" Harold Garner, 80, received his heavenly healing and passed from this life to eternal life on December 10, 2021. Born in Pasadena, Texas on December 27, 1940, he lived in the Winter Haven area for most of his life. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked as a truck driver until 1992 when he became disabled while driving for Florida Steel.Anyone who knew Bob knew that more than anything he loved and cherished his family. He will be remembered for his quick wit and one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He said many times that if he could make one person smile each day, his day wasn't wasted. He loved attending church in both Tampa (Clair Mel First Assembly of God) and in "PERRYdise" (Antioch Revival Center).
Bob is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Donna Garner, his daughters Dedra Gann (Jeff), Robin Royal, five grandchildren Christina McClure (Dean), Robert Gann, Melody Gann (Angel), Jessica Brown (David), Robert Royal (Jasmine), Peggy Gann (Nick), 14 great-grandchildren, and was anxiously awaiting the birth of his first great-great-grandson. He is also survived by his sister Jo Grenert Jones, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Daniel Garner, his mother, Alma Berline Meadows, his stepfather Alonzo Meadows and his brother Jack Garner.
A celebration of life is planned for January 29, 2022, 3:00 p.m., at Clair Mel First Assembly of God, 2415 South 78 th Street, Tampa.
