Carey, Robert M., 59 of Brandon passed away on Monday,December 12, 2011. Born in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey and raised in Devon,Connecticut, Mr. Carey had been a local resident for 25 years after moving herefrom Pennsylvania. He was a nuclear engineer and he enjoyed sailing, Irishmusic, and traveling to visit lighthouses around the country. Mr. Carey hadproudly served in the United States Navy. Survivors include his wife of 38years Margaret; son, Ryan Carey; daughter, Megan (William) Meadows; brothers, Douglas(Martin) Carey; Shawn (Sherry) Carey; sister, Sharon (Fred) Fairchild and hisgrandson, Jayden. His sister, Betty Ann Tibor, preceded him in death. Amemorial gathering will be held at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, on Saturday,December 17, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations canbe made to the Florida Lighthouse Association, P.O.
