Robert Harland "Bob" Pfantz 89 of Lithia, Florida passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017. Mr. Pfantz retired as a Major honorably with 21 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, and then served our country with 20 years dedicated to the U.S. Customs Service. He was Lutheran by faith and a true Patriot at heart. Survivors include his wife Mildred Baker Pfantz of 51 years; five sons Gary(Jana), Robert "Mike"(Kandie), Harland G.(Tracy), James(Nora), and William(Debi); eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Bob was predeceased by his parents Ira L. and Rose Walken Pfantz, two sisters, and four brothers. The family will receive guests between 3:00AM to 4:00AM, Thursday, September 7, 2017 with funeral services at 4:00PM in the Chapel of Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, FL 33578. Interment is scheduled at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with full military honors on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:30 am.
