BENNETT, Robert Alan, 45, passed away on March 12, 2007
after a prolonged illness.
Robert was born October 21, 1961 in Huntington, WV
to Guy A. and Glenna (Sizemore) Bennett, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his father and his sister,
Maynor Bennett Roberts.
He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Brandon,
active in First Baptist Church, "Special Education Classes,"
a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and N.A.R.F.E.
He was 1979 graduate of Brandon High School and attended
The University of Florida.
Robert was a member of the 1977 State Championship Wrestling
Team, the 1st team at Brandon High School to win state and
the group who started "The Streak". He was a referee for
wrestling and football for over 20 years during and after college.
He was employed as a Postmaster for the US Postal Service until disability five years ago.
He is survived by his loving family;
mother; Glenna S. Bennett,
two sons; Thomas Bennett and Daniel Bennett,
and their mother; Michelle Welch,
his precious angel and daughter; Katie Beth Bennett,
and her mother; Amy Bennett,
sister; Elizabeth (Robert) Stewart and their son, Christian,
brothers; Guy Bennett, III,
Charles (Lori) Bennett and their son; Jacob,
two aunts; Betty M. (Charles) Fallis, Salem, VA and
Peggy Landress, Ft. Myers, FL and
cousins; Susan, Jane, Beth, Steven and John.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2007 from
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Robert will be
at Serenity Meadows Chapel on Friday, March 16 at 1:00 pm,
with Rev. Tommy Green, officiating.
Burial will be at Hillsboro Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be;
Tim Thompson, Greg Clark, Josh Hackett, Bob Woodke,
Robert Ludlum and Daniel Eads.
Honorary pallbearers will be;
George Bancroft, Joe Raich, John Downs, Jeff Prescott,
Frank Karr, George Stefanos, Dave Doback, Adam Doback, Jason Zoet,
Shawn Sheldon, Robin Rhu, Guy Piasecki and Greg Irwin.
