Arrington, Robert "Bob" L., 93 of Brandon passed away June 18, 2014. Born in Amelia County, VA on December 27, 1920. He was one of nine children born to Samuel Sparrill and Sarah Lula (Martin) Arrington. A World War II veteran, Bob was a trained Ball Turret Gunner and flew in B24's. It was during his service in the military that he met and married Catherine Grace Torbidone. After being honorably discharged from the military he began work for B.F. Goodrich Company. He was a 50 year resident of Oaks, PA. Following the death of his wife Catherine and his daughter, Dianne Lynn, Bob moved to Florida to be closer to his son and family. Bob was a passionate gardener and there were many people over the years that have enjoyed the fruits of his labor. He also enjoyed woodworking, specializing in porch swings and bird houses. A merry whistler, his lighthearted tunes were a pleasure to hear, and an accurate indicator to his emotional well being. Bob is survived by two sisters, Virginia Dyer and Margaret Lifsey; daughter Maria Arrington; son Bob (Donna) Arrington Jr.; two grandchildren, Brandon Arrington and Sarah (Daniel) Wyrick. As well as family, he leaves behind his beloved "best friend" of the past 12 years, Carol Adams. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to A Kid's Place, Brandon, FL.
