Richard Venni, 84, of Riverview, FL, passed away on February 10, 2025.

Richard was born on December 1, 1940, in Baltimore, MD, to Richard and Ethel (Matthis) Venni. He married the love of his life, Eunice, on July 9, 1989, at First Baptist Church in Gibsonton, FL.

A proud veteran of the Vietnam War, Richard honorably served in the U.S. Army. He later dedicated 12 years of his life as a firefighter in New Jersey. He was an active member of the VFW and American Legion Post 148 in Riverview, where he enjoyed spending time with friends, sharing stories, and having a few drinks. Among his greatest joys were the many trips he took with Eunice to Daytona Beach, where he found peace simply sitting by the shore, taking in the day.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Janet, and his former wife, Joan.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Eunice; his daughters, Kimberly (Tim) Nelson, Cheryl (Garth) Monnat, and Stacey (Paul) Christenbury; and six cherished grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Richard's honor on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at American Legion Post 148, 7240 US-301, Riverview, FL 33578.
