MADDEN, Richard David, 87, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. He has resided in Florida for the last 25+ years, but has called many places home over the years. Richard was born in Millinocket, Maine and later moved to Wisconsin where he and his wife raised their two daughters. He met the love of his life, Verna, in Bloomington, Illinois while traveling for job training. Richard proudly served our country in the Navy and was also a Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years in 2012, Verna, and brother, Billy. Richard is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Tekampe and her husband, Ed, and Sandy Nagle and her husband, Frank; grandchildren, Eddie and his wife, Erica, Andy and his wife, Grace, and Stephanie and her husband, James; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Kaylee; sister, Marilyn Morgan; as well as a loving extended family and circle of friends. The family will hold a private memorial service. Richard was the "ambassador" wherever he went, making sure to take care of those around him and putting smiles on their faces. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but will live on in their hearts and memories.
