Richard D. Jordan, 85, passed away on September 16, 2026. Born January 17, 1941, in Gary, Indiana, Richard lived in Dayton, Ohio, as well as South Bend and Nappanee, Indiana, before retiring to the Tampa, Florida area in 1999.

Richard spent his career as a computer technician with NCR and also served in the Army Reserves. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Brandon and enjoyed golfing, serving his community, and spending time with family and friends. He was known for his generosity, sense of humor, and desire to contribute to the betterment of the communities in which he lived.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Delores Ann Schieber Jordan, who passed away in 2013. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Johnston (David) and Laura Gruber (Ed); grandchildren Jordan Hall (Morgan), Heather Schultz (Ben), and Devyn Gruber; and great-grandchildren Augie, Teddy, and Gwen.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 23, at 10:00 a.m. at Blue Heron Assisted Living.

Richard will be remembered as a warm and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who was deeply loved by those who knew him.
