Richard Allan Jones, 72 of Plant City Florida, passed away November 21, 2021. He was the son of Frederick Jones and Barbara Cressey.  He was a long time native of Rangeley, Maine where his family resided for over 60 years. He served in the Army in the Vietnam War as a pathfinder, and was a Bronze Star recipient. The love for his country was abundantly apparent by all of the treasured U.S. trinkets he possessed. He was almost never seen without his military ball cap. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit and love of animals especially, his dogs Queeny and Mable whom he is now joined with in Heaven. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert, and sister Beverly. He lovingly leaves behind his daughter Shannon and son in law Carlos of Plant City Florida, his adoring grandchildren, Maegan, Andrea, and Brady -whom he affectionately referred to as "Bud". He leaves Howard Martitz whom he lovingly regarded as a son. He also leaves behind his adoring nephew Terence Jones of Dallas Texas,  his wife Alma and their children Lucas and Isabel.
