Obituary

Richard Wayne Howe, 81, of Seffner, Florida passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 3, 2026. He was born on June 16, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to David and Augusta Howe.


Richard was a successful chemical engineer for 40 years at Ideal Cement, Agrico, & Mosaic. He was a head coach, assistant coach, referee, and linesman for Brandon Area Youth Soccer League for many years in the 80's and 90's. Richard served as the President for the soccer league. Also, he was the President and Vice President for the Homeowners Association in his neighborhood. His favorite pastimes were watching movies, doing yard work, watching various sports, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.


Richard is survived by his wife, Dollie Howe for 56 years, a sister, Kathy Ziegler (Danny), his children, Jennifer Newman (Scott), Kevin Howe (Carrie), & Keith Howe (Kathy). He has 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Augusta Smude Howe, his father, David Howe, his brother, James Howe, and a sister, Judith Howe.

There will be a gathering for family and friends held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm to remember and celebrate Richard's life. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. for Richard.
