Richard B. Hanes II Obituary

Richard Hanes, resident of Riverview, Fl, formerly of Columbus, OH, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 at home at the age of 66 years. Richard was born on January 27, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to Richard and Juanita (Hayes) Hanes. Richard graduated from North High School in 1971. He attended Hillsborough Community College. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1973-1977. Richard was a police officer for the VA center in Allen Park, Michigan. He was a licensed real estate agent. He recently retired from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department.  He was a loving family man. Richard volunteered at the Tampa VA and delivered for Meals on Wheels. He was a God fearing man with a servant's heart. He will be sadly missed by his wife Salome (Demaclid) Hanes, his daughter Shari and Rob (Torres), and his son Richard (Amber) Hanes, three sisters Pamela (Ken) Babcock, Vicki (Lyn) Payne, and Joyce Davenport as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Viewing will be Thursday, May 23rd from 6-8pm with a service and burial will be at 10am Friday, May 24th.
