Bishop, Richard L., 86, of Riverview, passed away on October 24, 2016. Richard was born in 1930 to Lamonte and Dorothy Bishop in Pennsylvania. He proudly served in the US Air Force. He retired as the Assistant Director of Plant Operations from Mercy Hospital in Miami where he worked for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Miami Outboard Club and Coast Guard Auxiliary. Richard suffered from Alzheimer's. Richard is survived by his loving family, partner of 50 years, Jo Lison Westfall; and nieces, Terri (Roger) Minatree of O'Brien, FL and Donna (Luis) Urquia of Miami, FL.; his extended family, Jo Anne Baxter of Riverview , FL; Heather (Shad) Thacore and children of Boston, MA; and beloved friends Dr. Harshad (Prem) Thacore of Buffalo, NY.
