Allen, Richard B., 88, of Lutz passed away on October 16, 2013.He was born on October 30, 1924 in Prophetstown, Illinois. Richard served his country during WWII with United States Marine Corps. After his military service, Richard began a career in crane operating, a craft he did up until he was 84 years old. Richard was part of the crew that removed the section of the Skyway Bridge that collapsed. Richard is survived by a son Dan (Beverly) Allen, a daughter Joyce (Wes) Thiessen, a sister Karen Blaich, a grandson Shawn (Ginny) Thiessen, and a great granddaughter Lauren Thiessen.
