IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Reverend Jean
Aubin Lubin
December 9, 1940 – March 7, 2025
Reverend Jean Aubin Lubin, a beloved servant of God, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, at the age of 84 in Riverview, Florida, where he resided in Gibsonton at the time of his death. Born on December 9, 1940, in Chameau-Moron, near Jérémie in the Grand'Anse region of Haiti, Reverend Lubin dedicated his life to ministry, faith, and family. He was a loving husband, a cherished father, a mentor, and a leader in the Haitian Christian community. Throughout his 50-plus years of pastoral service, Reverend Lubin touched the lives of many, spreading the love and wisdom of God to everyone he encountered. His legacy of service, kindness, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire generations to come.
Reverend Lubin was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Lubin and the proud father of seven children: Jean-Junior Lubin, MarieSara Trajean (married to Evins Trajean), Raphyr Lubin (married to Diana "Natasha" Lubin), Rhode Noel (married to Jean-Rodlin Noel), Ruchama Desir (married to Wilbert Desir), Ruth Lubin, and Richard Lubin. He was a cherished grandfather to 16 grandchildren and was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph and Eranord, and sisters Elise, St. Anne, and Anna. He is survived by his siblings, Walter (residing in Haiti) and Cerome (residing in Tampa, FL).
Reverend Lubin's ministry began in Haiti, where he attended seminary in Jérémie and Port-au-Prince. He later founded the Eben-Ezer Haitian Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida, in 1986, and served as the President of the Brotherhood of Haitian Pastors Committee, mentoring pastors and supporting Haitian churches throughout the region. He dedicated over 50 years to guiding and shaping countless lives through his ministry. Reverend Lubin was known for his unwavering faith, wisdom, discipline, generosity, and infectious sense of humor, always ready with a joke to lift the spirits of those around him.
A man of deep faith, Reverend Lubin was particularly known for one of his most memorable sermons, in which he compared life to a divine account given by God. "When we are born, God sets us up with an account. We don't know how much is in it, but every day we withdraw from it. How many days remain is a mystery, known only by God. So, what will you do with the time you have left? Will you waste it away or use it wisely?" Reverend Lubin lived by these words, making every moment count for the glory of God and the love of others.
The Lubin family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have offered support, prayers, and love during this difficult time. Your kindness and encouragement have been a great comfort. We invite family and friends to share their condolences, stories, and memories as we celebrate a life well-lived.
