RAYMOND DONAT MORISSETTE

DECEMBER 17,1949 - APRIL 11,2025

It is with great sadness we announce that Raymond Donat Morissette, 75, of Riverview, Florida passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife and best friend by his side on April 11, 2025.

He was born in Putnam CT at Day Kimball Hospital to Joseph Morissette and Etoila LaFleur.

Ray resided in Killingly CT for many years before moving to Florida in 2021. He made his home with Stepson Geoff Graves and his wife Sarah. Also in the home was his Grandson and best Buddy Garrison who brought much happiness into his life.  Moving to Florida completed his dream to play golf everyday of the year.

Raymond played basketball and baseball growing up. He attended Killingly Schools graduating in 1968.  He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. He retired from Pratt and Whitney after 37 years of service in 2011.

Raymond enjoyed fishing and he loved working in his garden growing the most tasteful vegetables and beautiful flowers. His real passion was for the game of golf. He was a dedicated golfer, finding joy and camaraderie in the game. He was skilled at chipping and putting. He also picked up seven holes-in-one along the way. His love for golf was contagious, inspiring others to pick up the game. We will always imagine seeing him hit a golf ball and smiling with his sons and golfing buddies.

We couldn't have asked for a better husband, father, grandfather, sibling or friend and he will be missed everyday. Ray's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Carol Morissette, children, grandchildren Jeffrey Morissette, Angela (Shane) Downing, Edward Morissette, Justin Morissette, Seth(Erin) Morissette and Megan Morissette, Siblings, Claire Labelle, Michele Bello, Celeste(Stephen) Tillman, Grandchildren, Mason, Cooper, Ellie, Carter, Ella, Rose, Owen, Blake, Joslyn, Kallie, Alex, Noah, Nadia, Sister in law, Sandy Long.

Ray is preceded in death by his sister Denise and brother in law William Lombardy.

Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of his arrangements and cremation. A gathering and memorial will be held at a later date in Putnam Ct.

"RAY, HERE IS HOPING YOU HAVE THE BEST ROUND OF GOLF EVER!!"
