January 13, 1934 — June 24, 2020
Ray DeMarco, 86, passed away at home on June 24, 2020. Ray was born January 13, 1934 in Chelsea, Mass. For many years Ray owned and operated a successful label and silk screening company in Nashua, NH. He and his wife Rosemary, moved from New Hampshire to Riverview in 2004. Ray was an avid Red Sox and NE Patriot fan. He enjoyed playing golf and watching the professional golf. He loved travelling, especially to his favorite island of Aruba. Ray was a member of St. Stephen Parish, Riverview. Over the years he was active in several parish ministries, among them the Men's Club. He was dubbed the "Shrimp King" for his talent to deep fry shrimp to perfection at the annual Lenten fish fry. He also served as an usher at 9:30 Mass. But the ministry near and dear to his heart was the Greater Brandon Meals on Wheels Program. St. Stephen is one of several churches in the community who prepare meals daily to homebound seniors. Ray was one of the many drivers who delivered meals every Thursday.
Ray is survived by his wife of 22 years, Rosemary and his stepsons, Michael Taylor, David Taylor and Andrew Taylor (Victoria Shei). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Stephen Meals on Wheels Program, c/o Carol Greene,104 Barkfield St., Brandon, Fl 33511.
