Obituary

Randy Edward Ramey, 71, of Plant City, Florida, passed away on June 27, 2026 in Zephyrhills, Florida. He was born on October 19, 1954 in Tampa, Florida to Theodore Ramey and Omie Mullins Ramey.

Randy went to Gibsonton Elementary where his mother and aunt worked and attended East Bay High School. He spent a short period of time in the US Army and as a volunteer fire fighter. Ultimately, Randy spent many years as a truck driver and retired after a dedicated career of over 25 years as a supervisor at CF Industries/Mosaic.

In his free time, Randy enjoyed fishing and was very handy. He loved to build things and work on old cars. He was a loving, trustworthy and faith filled man. He loved to tell jokes and was always full of smiles. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Randy married his loving wife, Patti Ramey on April 6, 2002. She survives him. He is also survived by his children, Justin (Candace) Ramey, Jacob (Holly) Ramey, and Jennifer (Victor) Millet, brothers, Bobby and Donald Ramey, and five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Patricia Anderson. You were an excellent caregiver to Randy and always so patient and kind. 

There will be a visitation held for Randy at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A service will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial with military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
