Rafael "Rafy" Soto was called by our Lord at the tender age of 45 on Wednesday May 3, 2023, surrounded by his wife, sister and his Beba. Rafy was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, grandfather and friend. He was always the life of the party or any event he was part of, he was bigger than life itself. Rafy was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 20th, 1977. He graduated from Colegio Bautista de Carolina, Raiders Class of 1995. He attended the University of South Florida and joined Sigma Lambda Beta in the fall of 1996 "Ilusion #32". In 2001 Rafael experienced one of the biggest joys of his life, when he became a father to his son, Rafael Soto Jr. Rafy Jr. is the sweetest, most hardworking, loving, dedicated, respectful and God loving young man any parent could ask for. Rafy Sr. was full of so much love and pride whenever he spoke about his son.

Rafy was a successful Independent Property Adjuster and founded his own Adjusting Firm, YCN. Rafy was very dedicated and passionate about his work. His greatest satisfaction was being able to help people rebuild their lives after Catastrophe events. Regardless of what state the catastrophe hit. He loved teaching others his profession and taking them under his wing until they were ready to fly on their own. In 2015, Rafy met his wife, Johanna "Joey" Soto during an inspection at her home, as he was the Field Adjuster assigned to her homeowners claim. Rafy denied the claim but met the love of his life. Funny thing is that Joey had prayed for God to bring her husband to her front door and God answered that prayer with Rafy. He would say "you prayed for a husband and there I was." At this point Rafy and Joey, along with their kids Beba, Mario and Rafy Jr became a family of 5.

Rafy was also a dotting and loving fur dad to Sheldon Cooper Soto and Mr. Grey Soto (Grey Baby). Rafy Loved camping with his family in his RV, he loved to travel the world with his wife. Collecting passport stamps was one of his favorite things. He loved listening to and watching reggaeton, salsa, merengue, bachata, and rancheras music videos. He loved impromptu get togethers with family and friends to listen to his favorite music while having a few drinks. He also loved to watch his wife dance and have fun; he would do anything to see her smile.

Rafy was one of a kind, real to the core, would take the shirt off his back for those he loved. If you were blessed to be his friend then you got to experience his wisdom, kindness, love, bluntness, since of humor and sarcasm… WE WERE BLESSED TO HAVE THE RAFY SOTO EXPERIENCE!!!! Mi amor gracias por amarme y hacerme la mujer mas feliz del mundo. You will forever live in our hearts, and I will love you for the rest of my life. Until we meet again my baby, I will carry you in my soul.
