Obituary

Philip Aaron Vinson was born on October 7th, 1953 and went home to be with the Lord on June 7th, 2021. Philip is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Joyce Elaine Vinson, four daughters Jennifer Vinson, Sarah Vinson, Olivia Vinson, and Anna Vinson; and five siblings Sharon Keene, Diane and Michael Clark, Michael and Joann Vinson, Stephen and Karen Levinson, Valery and Kevin Hugins. He is preceded in death by his parents Lois and Aaron Vinson, and sister Gail Vinson.

Philip was born in Albany, New York and moved to Florida at a young age where he called home for over 60 years. He is remembered by his wife Elaine as a wonderful father and husband of 34 years. They raised their four daughters in Dover, FL on Moores Lake where they made a lot of memories together raising animals, growing gardens, and turning their neighbors into family. Phil and Elaine raised their daughters to know the Lord and to always take everything to the Lord in prayer. He always owned his own businesses, continuing his father's business of wholesale produce, while restoring classic cars, then onto his favorite, an ice cream shop. Phil was passionate about cooking and always made sure dinner was on the table at 5:30pm every night for his family. He was an excellent provider, always making sure everyone was taken care of before himself. He was the most selfless person you would ever meet. He would give a stranger the shirt off his back, as he would say is there anything I could pray for you for? He would end every phone call with "I pray for you every day", following in his mother's footsteps of strong faith, and fervent prayer. He was known for being able to carry a conversation with anyone he met, even a stranger at Publix. He enjoyed going to classic car shows, spending a week at the beach with his family, and watching classic movies while eating a jelly donut. He loved telling jokes and making others laugh. Phil touched many people's lives with his loving personality, and devotion to leading people to the Lord. He loved to tell everyone he met about his daughters, and how proud he was of them. He dedicated his life to making sure his family had the life he thought they deserved. He always wanted the best for others even if it meant him making a sacrifice. He will be remembered as the most generous, loving, caring Father, Husband, and Friend.
