Peter J. White passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, in Safety Harbor, Florida, at the age of 89.
Born November 7, 1935, in the Bronx, New York, to Charlotte (Golder) and James Peter White (both deceased), Peter was preceded in death by his beloved sisters Honora (White) Cox and Cecila( White) Gunther.
A proud veteran, Peter served his country honorably during the Korean War as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career as a television producer and director with WFLA. After retiring, Peter continued to serve his community and faith through devoted work with the Catholic Diocese and his cherished church, St. Stephen's.
Peter leaves behind a legacy of strength, service, and deep love for family, country, and faith. Known for his warm storytelling and infectious laughter, he brought joy and connection to everyone he encountered.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Judith (Wells) White; his children Shannon White (wife Kristin Sands), Sean White (wife Jennifer Bailey), and Sharla (White) Dennis (husband Curt Dennis); his eight grandchildren, Nicholas White (wife Taylor Holt), Victoria (White) Tyson, Olivia Medina, Tristan White, Anthony White, Dylan White, Lauryn White, and Kyle White; and five great-grandchildren, Aundre, Kaden, Greyson, Garrett, and Nadia. Peter is also survived by his sister Helen and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Serenity Meadows in Riverview, Florida, with military honor guard present to recognize his service. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

Peter will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
