Wright, Peggy E., passed away on February 13, 2016. She was born on November 22, 1924 to Abraham D. Bland and Alyce E. Bland in Aberdeen, SD.

Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Sioux City, where she was member of Mayflower Congregational Church. She married Dean Wright, Sr., on January 4, 1942 in Las Vegas NV. They started a family in Sioux City, IA and she was a homemaker. Dean passed away in 1987 and Peggy moved to Brandon, FL in October 1990. In her younger years she enjoyed playing golf and bowling. As she grew older she enjoyed playing Bingo.

She is preceded in death by her son Jeff; grandson Travis; and brother Dick. Peggy is survived by her loving children; son Dean "Chris" Wright (Joan) of Valrico, FL; daughter Kim Thousand of Sioux City, IA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, whom she adored; Amber, Heather, Corey, Stacey, and Kyle; and her precious great-grandchildren, Patrick, Noah, Jack, Chandler, Ryan, Luke, and Evan.

Peggy requested no memorial services or flowers. She would rather donations be made in her memory to the St. Jude's Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Her wishes were to have her cremated remains taken back to Sioux City, IA to rest with her mother Alyce; and her son Jeff. Condolences may be expressed through this online guestbook.
