Paul R. Walsh Jr. of Valrico, Florida passed away on July 2nd, 2025. He was born June 30, 1944 in Boston, MA to Paul Sr and Margaret Walsh.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by wife Sandra Kay, Son Paul Walsh III (Kim), Daughter Tammy Johnson (Mike), Grandsons Paul Walsh IV and Andrew Wallace, Great Grandchildren, Makayla Larisey and Parker Walsh, brothers, Robert (Donna) Walsh, David (Monica) Walsh, and many extended family members on the Taylor and Walsh sides.
Paul spent a good portion of his childhood moving due to his fathers job with the W.T. Grant Company. In his late teens he joined the Navy for four years. From there he pursued a business career by entering a training program with the W. T. Grant Company. He went on to work for Eli Witt as the VP of Marketing and Sales before becoming an independent entrepreneur in various markets that led him into the candle business for 25 years in Charlotte, NC.
In Paul's spare time, he was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed family gatherings in Dyersburg and Big Sandy TN and was extremely proud of his Irish Heritage. Paul never met a stranger and loved to talk business with anyone that would engage in the conversation. He had a mindset that if you were not making money you were wasting your time. Paul loved to motivate and inspire people in all aspects of life. He was a true leader.
Services will be held on July 10, 2025 at Serenity Meadows. Visitation with the family will be from 12pm - 1pm with funeral service to follow. Graveside service will begin at 2pm. Services will be officiated by Pastor Branson Rogers. Pallbearers will be Paul Walsh III, Andrew Wallace, Mike Johnson, Bob Lucier, James Halfacre, and Robert Newton. Military honors will be rendered at graveside.
