HARKINS, Paul Henry, 40, of Lithia, FL unexpectedly joined the Lord Saturday, September 13, 2008.

Paul is survived by his wife, Christine and two sons, Jake and Matt. Paul will forever be

remembered for his smile, easy-going manner and being a devoted husband, father, son, grandson and friend.
Raised in New Hampshire, Paul's kind and gentle nature won him many close and caring friends

during his two years in Lithia. He will be dearly missed by all. Paul graduated from Franklin

Pierce College in New Hampshire and was employed as a Systems Analyst at Sungard Brokerage

Systems in Boston until moving to the Tampa area where he was employed by J. P. Morgan

Chase. Paul's passion was helping his sons play on the Fish Hawk baseball and Pinecrest

football teams. He hoped that they soon would enjoy his favorite sport of golf. In

addition to his wife and sons, Paul is survived by his parents, Jack and Cheryl Harkins;

his sisters, Pam and Kathleen, his grandfather, Charles Payne; his grandmother Emily Harkins;

uncles, Tommy and Rusty, aunts Patty and Mary Kay, father and mother-in-law Doug and

Mary Lou Puls; brothers-in-law Bill Freyer and Steve Puls, nephew and Godson Jackson Freyer.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at

Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd., Riverview, followed by a funeral mass on Friday, September 19, 2008 at

St. Stephens Catholic Church, 5049 Bell Shoals Road, Valrico, FL at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations to be made to

the Harkins Family College Fund, c/o Bank of America, 16765 Fish Hawk Blvd., #213, Lithia, FL 33547.
