Obituary

Patti Jeanne Christie, beloved mother, partner, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024, in Apollo Beach, Florida. She was 71 years old.

Born on January 13, 1953, in Paterson, New Jersey, Patti grew up with a love of learning that carried her through life. A proud graduate of Muhlenberg College and the University of Virginia, she earned a Master's degree in Special Education. Patti dedicated more than two decades to teaching some of the most heavily disabled and non-categorical students, leaving an indelible mark on their lives and the lives of their families. Her patience, creativity, and unwavering dedication defined her career and inspired those fortunate enough to know her.

Patti's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving partner, Stephen Huggins; her children, Adam, Logan, and Morgan; her sisters, Wendy and Laurie; and her eight cherished grandchildren, Xavier, Colton, Arrabella, Gavin, Trystan, Kellan, Skylen, and Michael.

Patti had a zest for life that was evident in her many passions and the joy she brought to those around her. She loved traveling, always eager to explore new destinations and immerse herself in the beauty of different cultures and landscapes. Whether it was a grand adventure or a weekend getaway, she embraced each journey with wonder and excitement. Patti's creative spirit shone through her crafting, where she found joy in creating heartfelt, one-of-a-kind gifts and treasures for her loved ones. From handmade wooden snow men that she'd sell for a little extra money to dream catchers and everything in between, she always had a wonderful eye for bringing the beauty out of anything. Her hands were never idle, and her creations reflected her vibrant personality and attention to detail.

To honor Patti's memory, her family invites donations to a children's education charity of your choice such as the Child Mind Institute or the Alpha-bet Cooperative School or to Compassion Kind Animal Rescue... in lieu of flowers.

Patti's legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered
