Obituary

Patricia (Pat) Ann Smith peacefully passed away in her sleep on February 10,2025.

Pat was born on January 3, 1951 in Queens, New York to her amazing parents (now deceased), Louis and Dorothy Mahurin. She was blessed enough to have a special and close bond with her siblings Eileen Miliauskas, Louis (Louie) Mahurin-deceased, and Catherine (Cathy) Anesta that lasted until her final breath. She would always light up when she spoke about her siblings.

Pat had an impenetrable bond with her husband of 46 years, David Smith (Retired Chief Petty Officer USN). The love they had knew no bounds. Someone would be considered lucky if they found a love that came close to what they had.

Pat had 4 beautiful children Graciano (George) Etrata (wife-Rebecca), Carol England (deceased), Louis (Lou) Etrata (wife—April), and Dawn Williams (husband—Billy).

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Kaylynn, Korinn, Kassandra, Mason, Christopher, Gabrielle, Kyle, Katie, Kaycee, Jacqulyn, Alex, Jacob, Lucas, Zachary, Gavin, Nicholai, Grayson, Cassidy, Addison, and Kaidence. She had many great grandchildren—Kathleen, Lantz, Hudson, Owen, Kaydence, Athena, Aurora, as well 3 more to come in 2025.

Pat was an amazing soul who everyone loved. She was a special friend and a second mom to many. To name a few, Jeanine Trani, Cheryl Tsosie, Karla Beesaw, Larry and Kenny Freese, Rebecca Morrison, Bill Burklow, Desi Coffee and siblings (Skidmore), The Baker Bunch, the Lull's, and many MANY more (too many to name but know you were ALL special to her). She was also a big jokester who loved to make everyone laugh. She will be deeply missed by those that knew her.

Her service will be on February 20, 2025 at Serenity Meadows in Riverview, Florida. Family will meet from 5-6p and then the open viewing to the public will be from 6-8 pm. After the viewing we will have a small gathering back at her home to reminisce about the good times. If you knew Pat she did not want it to be a sad occasion but would want to have lots of laughs and love go around. Thank you for the smiles and memories that you have given her during her lifetime.
