Patricia (Pat) Schenck of Riverview, Florida passed away peacefully at her home on December 23, 2025.  She had been surrounded in recent weeks by family and friends.  Pat is survived by her husband, David; by her children Adam (Peitra) and Dawn (Todd) both of Florida; and her grandchildren Julian Gray of Littleton, Colorado, Kaley Edmonds of Austin, Texas, Chris Donovan of Sterling, Virginia, Sydney Gray of Valrico, Ashlyn Edmonds of Ft. Myers  and Dylan Donovan of Tampa.

Pat was born in Wakefield, Michigan on June 16, 1947, and raised in Marquette, Michigan.  She graduated from Bishop Baraga High School in Marquette in 1965.  She spent her adult life training convenience store employees, and in cosmetology.  But nothing made her happier than caring for her grandchildren, starting in 1997.

Pat loved to travel, having been to all 50 states in the US, all of the lower provinces in Canada and more than 20 foreign countries.  She also enjoyed camping throughout the U.S. having spent almost 1,000 nights in an RV while seeing sights and visiting family and friends in the U.S. and Canada.

Pat was active in many veterans' organizations, including being President of the Riverview Memorial VFW 8108 Auxiliary.  Pat was also on the Hillsborough County Veterans Council and active in the planning of many of the theaters of war at Hillsborough County Veteran's Park. Pat also addressed federal and state legislative issues for the VFW Auxiliary for the Department of Florida.

Pat is proceeded in death by her parents, Thomas and Eunice Hickey, and her brother, Thomas Hickey.  A Celebration of Life is being planned.  Interment will follow later.
