Orrie Ritter was born on February 3, 1943 to Marcella (Mocco) and Albert Ritter (both now deceased) and passed away on April 27, 2009 from advanced cancer. He graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1961 and received his B.A. Degree in 1965 from UW- Oshkosh and taught German and World History and coached football and wrestling at Coleman, WI. from 1965 to 1969. Orrie married Christine Chambers in Gillett, WI on August 6, 1966. In 1970 he received his M.S. Degree in Guidance and Counseling at UW-Oshkosh and then spent the next 28 years in Poynette, WI. as High School Guidance Counselor and coached football and baseball. In 1998 Orrie retired, and he and Chris moved to StrawBerry Ridge in Valrico, FL to enjoy retirement. Life in Florida began when he discovered the Brandon Senior Softball League. In addition to playing softball in both Brandon and Plant City, Orrie enjoyed the camaraderie of the StrawBerry Ridge Golf League and his Tuesday Night Poker Club. He could be seen daily working out at the Fitness Center at the Ridge. Orrie is survived by his wife Chris and three children: Bruce (Karol) Ritter of Coral Springs, FL; Brad (Tracey) Ritter of Lakeland, FL; and
Beth Ritter of Pinellas Park, FL; grandchildren Lindsey Ritter, Morgan Ritter and Ryan Ritter. Also surviving are: Sister, Cheryl (Jim) Jawort of White Lake, WI; Sisters-In- Law, Cookie (Ken) Mathes of Canyon Lake, CA; Susie (Bob) Allen of White House, TN; Kathy (Jim) Reindl of Oconto Falls, WI; and Annette (Jim Griffin) Halverson of , Green Bay, WI; Mother-In-Law Kathryn Chambers of Oconto Falls, WI. and several nieces and nephews.
