Nilo
Cabrera
October 11, 1931 — January 2, 2018
Cabrera, Nilo, 86, passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2018. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Julie; his loving children, Debbie Cabrera and Rick Cabrera; daughter-in-law, Susie Cabrera; and beloved grandchildren, Emilio and Tina. Nilo graduated from the University of Florida; College of Pharmacy in 1953 and never lost his love for Gator football. He was the proprietor of Nilo's Pharmacy serving the communities of Clair-Mel City and Palm River for over 30 years. He was a proud sponsor at South East Tampa Little League for many years. He was a founding member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Nilo enjoyed summers at the beach, traveling and going to see his Gators play, Go Gators! Most of all Nilo loved being with his family; especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them and supporting them in their activities. He was soft spoken, kind, caring, giving and always saw the good in people. He was a wonderful husband, a loving father and grandfather. He will live in our hearts forever and he will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice at Chaptershealth.org or to Doberman Rescue League, Inc at doberescue.net. The family would like to thank, LifePath Hospice and his caregivers, Dawn, RN, Tonja, Michele, Andria and Wylean for all their love, care and compassion.
