Neoma Lee
Neufelder
August 29, 1931 — July 29, 2026
Neoma Lee Neufelder (Feil) passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026. She lived almost 95 full and beautiful years and fought with that same strength until the very end, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter and a love that will never fade.
She graduated from Reitz High School in 1949 and always believed in continuing to learn and grow throughout life.
She had a gracious, friendly, kind and energetic personality and couldn’t sit still very long. To her there was always something to do whether it be cooking, cleaning, crosswords, playing solitaire and loved working outside. She enjoyed long morning walks around Brandon and often walked to her appointments, grocery store, and anywhere that struck her fancy until almost 90 years old.
More than anything Neoma loved her family including her dogs. In her passing we lost not only a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother but she was someone whose love shaped all of us. That love you could feel and surrounded you whenever you were with her.
She is preceded in death by parents Willard and Esther Feil (Kracht), husband of 56 years Raymond “Bud” Neufelder, daughter Sue Madden (Neufelder), sons Don Neufelder, and Roger Neufelder, and son-in-law Leonard Pate.
She is survived by her daughters Judy Pate, Nancy Neufelder and son Kenny Ray Neufelder, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Wendy Neufelder (Davis) and son-in-law Kenny Madden.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported, cared for, and visited Neoma in her final months. Your kindness, prayers, and presence were a beacon of light that helped lift Neoma’s spirits.
Graveside service will be 2 PM, Tuesday, August 11th, 2026 at Serenity Meadows in Riverview, FL.
Though she leaves behind a space that can never be filled, the love she gave – her stories, her smile and laughter – will stay with us forever.
