Glass, Nell Allman Surrounded by her loving family, Nell passed away April 24 on her 87th birthday. Nell, a Florida native, was born to Dixie and Addison Allman in Brooksville and was a resident of Brandon, Florida since 1970. Nell had a passion for sewing. She made her children's clothes until they were able to sew for themselves and taught many of her grandchildren to sew on a treadle sewing machine. She was willing to teach anyone who wanted to learn. One of her greatest enjoyments was her sewing guild and her friends who came to her house once a week to sew on her back porch overlooking the Alafia River. Nell was strong and courageous and faced her physical difficulties with grace and patience. We will miss her ability to laugh at herself, her memory for names, places, and events, and especially her ability to remember where every item in the house was tucked away. She had a sharp mind and sense of humor to the very end. We are thankful that she is whole and healed. God is good. She is survived by her beloved husband A.T. (Red) of 68 years, her six children Jennifer Jenkins, Windy Glass, Ronnie Glass, Beverly Hild, Robert Glass, and Rebecca Douglas, sons and daughters-in-law, her fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her sister Cora Looney of Clearwater and three nieces. There were many others who adopted her as their mom. Services will be held on Saturday May 13, 2:30 PM at Serenity Meadows 6919 Providence Rd. Riverview FL In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to:
