Nancy Taylor Ward died on March 14, 2008 at Tampa General Hospital following surgery. Originally from McConnellsburg, PA, Nancy was a graduate of the Nursing School at Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA and later received a Bachelor of Science from St. Leo College in Florida.

Nancy held many nursing leadership positions, most recently as the Director of Case Management at Tampa General Hospital. Personally and professionally, she inspired those who knew her to always do better than their best.

Nancy is survived by her beloved daughter Lette DeShong Brauer, five sisters, one brother, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy was a devoted mother, sister, and aunt whose presence and strength will be deeply mourned by all. Family will receive friends at Serenity Meadows, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview at 6:30 p.m. with the Memorial Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are made in Nancy's honor to Tampa General Hospital Foundation, Innovative Nursing Program.
