Bishop, Nancy Lee, 77, of Brandon, passed away on March 11, 2019. Nancy was born on March 13, 1941 to Natalino and Roma Mattacchione in McKeesport, PA. At the end of World War II Nancy's family moved from Pennsylvania to Sarasota, Florida.  She graduated from Sarasota High School in 1959 and was married to Sonny Bishop on July 1, 1961.

She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Torchbearer Nu Sorority for fifty-four years.  She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church where she also volunteered at the church's food bank program to help feed needy families.   She is preceded in death by her husband, Marion 'Sonny' Bishop, Jr. Nancy is survived by her loving family, daughters, Cheryl Bishop, and Belinda (Rick) Kreger; grandchildren, Logan and Kaycee Thomasson; siblings, Clara Bazell, Larry (Shirley) Mattacchione, Sr, and Louise (Tommy) Jensen; and her extended family. She is also survived by her Beta Sigma Phi sorority sisters, Carol Greene, Corinne Stuart, Candy McDonald, Carol Olive, Doris Moran, Carleen Rice, Linda Pettis.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. There will be a Mass on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Stephen Catholic Church.
