Muriel C. Stevenson of Sun City Center, FL, passed away on November 23, 2014. Born in Pawtucket, RI on October, 24, 1929, she graduated from Pawtucket East H.S. in 1946 and the Secretarial School of Bryant College in 1947. In 1950 she married Cliff Stevenson, former soccer/lacrosse coach at Brown University. From 1950 to 1952 she was the private secretary of the Registrar at Springfield College. In 1952 they moved to Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH and came back to R.I. and Brown University. During the next 32 years she helped start the R.I. Jr. Soccer League and was the recording secretary for the New England Soccer and Lacrosse rating boards. She also helped start the United States Soccer School, the United States Lacrosse School and the Eastern School for Girls Soccer. She is survived by her husband Clifford Stevenson, children David, Karen and Donna; 7 grandchildren and a great grandson. Her memorial will be held on January 11 at 2:00 pm at Serenity Meadows, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, FL.
