Obituary

Liller, Charles W., 86, of Riverview, passed away on December 8, 2019.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Lillian Liller; former wife, Meta Liller; brother, Fred Liller; son, Glenn Liller; and granddaughter, Katrina Linboom. Charles is survived by his loving family, wife, Sara Jackson Liller; son, Gary (Lisa) Liller; daughters, Linda (Dan) Ring, Tami (Jim) Goetluck; daughter in law, Debbie Liller; former daughter in law, Pamela Winer; grandchildren, Carrie (Josh) Kurella, Tiffany Liller, Charles Liller, Andrew(Amanda) Liller, Michael McGinley, Billy McGinley, Heidi (Zack) McWeeney, Rex Ingerick, IV, Ashley (Manny) Marshall, Sarah Hampton, Liz (Bryan) Flynn, Robbie (Corinne) Winer; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Charlie was born in Jersey City, NJ and raised in North Bergen, NJ.  He lived in Englewood, NJ and Beach Lake, PA. Charlie retired from the USAF as a Master Sergent after 20 years of service. He served with the 55 th Bomb Nav Recon Group at Forbes AFB in Topeka, KS. He served with the 32 nd Tactical Air Command in Soesterberg, Holland and Vietnam.  He was a member of the Quiet Birdmen (QB's) and the American Legion Post 148, Riverview, FL. He spent 13 years working for GTE.  Charlie was an accomplished commercial and private pilot. He towed banners around the old Tampa Stadium and the local beaches.  He owned and flew a Piper Comanche 24 (N27PC) for 33 years. He was a member of the Southeast Comanche Tribe and served as the Tribe Chief for 3 years.  He was an avid golfer and played every Thursday at the MacDill golf course where he was a member. He was a proud Mason, 32 nd degree, and a Shriner.  He was also a member of the Egypt Temple Shrine.  The family would like to thank the 3 rd floor ICU staff at St. Joseph South Hospital in Riverview, FL.  Thank you for your loving hearts and passion for your job.  Your patients are lucky to be in such good hands.  There will be a funeral service on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 2:00pm at New Hope United Methodist Church, with a visitation one hour prior. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 11:30am. To leave condolences, visit serenitymeadows.com.
