Mona (Werling) Borthwick of Brandon, FL, Born February 1, 1965 – Passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 – Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister & Aunt, Daughter of Harry A & Anita Werling of Philadelphia, PA.; Survived by Jason Borthwick (Husband) & Gabrielle Borthwick (Daughter), Michelle (Werling) Jolliffe (Sister), Sharon (Werling) Steidle (Sister) & Andrea (Lutz) Maldonado (Niece).
Mona grew up in South Philadelphia and was loved by many. Jason and Mona married on July 24, 1999 in Las Vegas, NV. They settled in New Jersey and welcomed their daughter Gabrielle on September 29, 2000. While living in New Jersey, Mona had made many friends and was surrounded by many loved ones. Moving to Florida in 2007 in support of her husband, Mona became a trusted and reliable friend to many people in the many jobs she held. During Jason's 2012 deployment to Afghanistan, Mona made it her job to take on all household duties. With the next coming years, she was gladly able to partake in her family's events like weddings, birthdays, first jobs and graduations.
Mona was an intelligent, kind, compassionate, empathetic, and loving person. And the family she has, the friendships and relationships she's made are all something she has taken pride in.
She passed at home surrounded by her loved ones. A cremation ceremony will be held at a later date, yet to be determined.
