Mildred "Millie" Stearns of Brandon passed away at her home on May 3, 2023, she was 88 years young. Millie was born on October 25, 1934, to Robert W. T. Bretzke and wife, Julia Amanda (Knodel) in Guadalupe County, Texas. After living in Texas and Arizona, she moved to Brandon, Florida in July of 1976. She worked at Barnett Bank (now Bank of America) for 37 years, where she retired at the age of 80. She loved her work and customers but taking care of her family was a top priority. Millie loved getting together for family dinners and the holidays; she enjoyed gardening and was passionate about sports, especially the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Rays never missing a televised game. Millie is survived by her three sons - Stacy D. Stearns, Jay C. Stearns, Gary D. Stearns (Faylene) of Florida and stepdaughter Deborah Stearns Everett of Texas, Grandchildren Clint Stearns, Ashley Sapp, Lindsay Ward, Evan Stearns, and Shane Anderson, Great granddaughter Raylee Ward and many nieces, nephews and extended family in Texas and Colorado. Millie is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Clinton W. Bretzke (June), Marvin H. Bretzke (Irene) Leslie F. Bretzke (Bettye) Harold F. Bretzke, Evelyn (Richard)Morgan, Annie Mae (Wilbur) Monnett. Sweet dreams Mom, until we see you again. We love you!
