Colmer, Mildred H., 91, of Cocoa Beach, passed away on April 3, 2009. She was born on August 31, 1917 in Wissinoming, PA to William and Elizabeth Hale. She married Robert Colmer in 1941. Mildred volunteered throughout her life with various organizations. These included: Gray Ladies, Girl Scouts, nursing home visits, Laubach Literacy, and lately St. David's by the Sea Episcopal Church. In Cocoa Beach she was well known as "the little old lady" who rode her tricycle up and down Ocean Beach Blvd collecting cans for the Fire Department and Shands Burn Hospitals.
Mildred is survived by her loving family, sister, Miriam Graves; daughters, Janice (Leonard) Weston and Elizabeth (Mike) Oliver; son, William Hale (Linda) Colmer; grandchildren, Shannon Grow and Allen Grow; and great-grandchildren, Krista Grow, Alexa Grow and Caileigh Grow.
