Michael "Mickey" VanVaerenbergh passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, surrounded by family at Tampa General Hospital after complications from an elective heart procedure.

Mickey was born March 25, 1965, in Valrico, Florida to Leon and Joyce (Beasley) VanVaerenbergh. After graduating from Plant City High School in 1983, he began a lifelong career in the HDPE fabrication industry working for Fife Pipe and ISCO industries.

His life revolved around his family. Vacations, boat days, camping, and weekly get-togethers were common. He shared a special bond with his four brothers and was most proud being a father to his kids, Stephen and Briana. He was a "Papa" of six and lived for watching their sports games, having sleepovers, and spoiling them. Mickey was one of a kind. He consistently put others before himself and loved to make people laugh. He made an impact on so many lives and truly cherished his family and friendships. Mickey will be missed by all.

He is survived by his two children, Stephen (Ashley) VanVaerenbergh and Briana (Shawn) Swartz. Six grandchildren, Skylar, Adalynn, Camden, Spencer, Skotti, and Sophie. Four brothers, David (Tricia), Allan (Pam), Mark, Duane, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Joyce.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 2:00pm at Landmark Baptist Church in Seffner.
