O'Brien, Michael Robert, 49, of Brandon, FL, went home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2012 after living a courageous life with cancer. He was born in Davenport, IA, August 3, 1962. Mike was a kind and loving man; for those who had the honor of knowing him they will freely attest to the way he impacted their lives like no other can. Mike embraced the meaning of friendship throughout his life. This was very evident in the large circle of friends and family he had. He was compassionate, honest and truly a loving person. His kind and tender ways will be missed, but the amazing memories he has provided will live in our hearts forever. Mike is survived by his loving wife Nancee Link O'Brien, mother Lucille O'Brien, sisters Pam (Robbie) Robertson and Kathy (Brian) Meyers, nieces Jennifer (Craig) Kersteen and Melanie (Jessie) Staples, nephews Cory & Chad Ringley, great nephews Logan & Aiden Staples. He preceded in death by his father Robert O'Brien and brother Patrick O'Brien. The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, 10:00am at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview, FL.
