Michael J. Hamson, Sr. age 65, formerly of Glenolden, but long-time resident of Tampa Bay, FL, passed away on October 9, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones.  Michael was born on November 4, 1954 in Philadelphia, a son to parents of the late Robert and Anna Marie (McAdams) Hamson.  Michael leaves behind his longtime companion, Maria Daley.  He was also a loving father to Dawn Ramson (Thomas), Erica Barrett, Amanda Sanchez (David), Michael J. Hamson, Jr. and Matthew Hamson, loving Grandfather to thirteen grandchildren; Thomas, Patricia, DJ, Alyssa, Mia, Ivan, Michael III, Jake, Gabby, Aubrie, Christopher, Lucas and CJ, a loving Brother to late Robert (late Susan), late William (Mary) and loving sister, to Jennifer Leonard (John), and a loving Uncle to 14 nieces and nephews.   Michael was a Graduate of Cardinal O'Hara in Springfield, PA., went on to begin a career as a Headhunter; owning two successful companies. Michael was known for his love of his faith, Philadelphia sports, great music, traveling, his love for his family and his smile. He loved the music of Elvis so much that he traveled to Memphis and recorded two of Elvis' songs. He taught us all the importance of faith, family, a good movie, laughing and enjoying life.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on November 6, 2020 at the Main Church of Nativity Catholic Church, 705 E. Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
